Watermill in 1900

Background : This old 16th century paper mill was very important (for the region). Its overshot wheel of more than 10m in diameter (now replaced by a turbine) assesses the rôle this property had in the past… The building size is proportional to its activity, large rooms at each level, the conservatory on the front was used to dry the reams of paper. A pond with its dam was built specially for the mill. In the 19th century, the train passed by the property, today a road gives this site an asset to develope a touristic activity (restaurant or hotel) unless you'd be tempted by the hydroelectric potential of the site… A head of 11 m, a lake of 2.5 acres, rarely seen in Brittany !!!
The attraction for this mill is also its architecture, several ornamental sculptures decorate the property, the lord of which depended the mill was proud to expose its feudal privileges .. Fortunately everything is still there, ready to be shown again, an exciting renovation project... The destination of the building could be an artistic activity, with large exposure rooms on several levels.
